On The Catwalk

As a woman who has struggled with body image and health concerns for most of my life, I found it interesting that models in Madrid will be required to maintain a healthy weight (BMI between 18 and 22) in order to walk on the big catwalks.

Do you think requiring a healthy BMI in models on the catwalk is a good step towards promoting a healthier lifestyle among women?

i think it is a very good idea--we need more role models who are healthy and fit. applause for this idea.

well, in the same way that requiring models to maintain unhealthy bmi's was hurtful before, this will hopefully be helpful. although any sort of generalization isn't going to be 100% perfect...but i think it's definitely a step in the right direction.
