Thursday Shmurzday

Happy Thursday.

It is raining; it is 45 degrees outside.

Last weekend we hiked and blew off work. I would like to fit in some wonderful outdoor activity again this weekend.

I am desperate to not spend my weekend working, so today is my chance to step it up a notch. Sometimes I think if I went back to dial up computer connection I would prioritize my time better on the computer.

But, I am getting some stuff done.

Sunday's Service on "Friendship" ? DONE. Okay, well, mostly done. I still have to print out the order of service and choose about 12 poems and or quotations on the subject. I have a bunch saved so it should be easy.

Dec 9th's Service for Bodhi Day? Still struggling with that one. Needs to be finalized by Nov 4, as well does the Christmas service, and the January 27th service (Mozart's and Lewis Caroll's Birthdays) becuase we are putting together a whole Winterfaith program of sorts.

Newsletter for November? Still struggling, but getting closer. Already thinking about the one for December.

Halloween? We haven't decorated the house a bit, but I do have my costume. While I was hoping for Alice, from Alice in Wonderland, that apron was too elusive. I am instead, making the switch to Janis Joplin. This will be good, and will be accompanied by a fifth of jack for a party Saturday night.

Hopefully I don't drink too much of it before my Intergenerational service on Sunday!

Working out. Sigh...I need to get back into this. Do you think it could be the seasonal change? The switch to dark and dreary? I wake up in the a.m. and the temptation to roll over in bed is too great. It was really nice to snuggle under overly warm comforters this morning until 7:45 a.m. But I also don't want to lose the ground I have covered here. I want to feel good and strong. I want to be healthy. I want to keep working out. I want to run another 10 minute mile!

Life is good. I have so much going on, but am so thrilled about that. Can you imagine a life so empty that you never felt stressed or overwhelmed? I can't, and would never want too.

Can you post a picture of you as Janis? I loved all your fall photos of your hike. I hear you about not wanting to get out of bed when it is cold and dark. I just want to cuddle up with C and not go to work.
