I took a walk today, but never left my yard.

The rain is still in puddles, reflecting the sky above.

I love the time of year when some flowers stand tall and proud,

while some stick up from the soil like little tiny babies.

I love it when green is still the dominant color, shimmering in the sunlight and shadows,

and some of the flowers seem to whisper to each other about when it will be safe to bloom.

The littlest creatures are hard at work, saving themselves, and saving us.

And the landscape explodes into magnificent color.

And of course, adding a little friend to the setting just makes it all the more beautiful.
