Sunflower and Bee

It must be something about summer that takes my energy to write and replaces it with the incessant need to post pictures of flowers. I swore that my next post would be a written one, but then I stepped out into my yard this morning.

Sunflower bloom number 6 was teeming with bees and the scene took my breath away. I tried to choose which of these images was my favorite, but you are stuck with all three if them.

I recommend clicking on these images to get a better view of this bee, especially the last one.

Bees, to me, are becoming such strong symbols of vibrancy and well being.

I am in actuality quite phobic about bees, but I am making my peace with them. I find it comforting to know that hundreds of them find life and work in my yard each year.
