grey skies and sick kids get me down

I am trying to keep my dander up, trying to use being stuck in doors as a good excuse to get some work done, but I am having a hard time with it.

I feel like I have pulled out lots of tricks: art activities, building bridges, reading books, a little Jerry Garcia band, work on an old art project, listen to the new Michael Franti album on his myspace page, drink more coffee, read gossip on line, watch the Daily Show, talk smack with friends on the phone, did some exercises . . . and it is only 11:30.

The boy keeps talking about CandyLand.

I am not sure I can handle CandyLand. I really think it might just push me over the edge.

Oh no, now he really is asking for CandyLand, like yelling from the top of the stairs for me to get it. I swear, the things we do for our kids....

Pray for me.
