A Drawing as a Gift to a Woman who is a Gift to Me.

Once upon a time, I would not have posted this because it isn't just exactly what I wanted it to be. I'd like to think I've evolved some over the years though, and have a greater appreciation for diligent practice.

Human figures are quite difficult to draw. Noses and mouths allude me. Hands especially baffle me. I'll get there though. I'll get there.

I drew and painted this picture for a friend as a Solstice gift.

She is a very special woman who works with women in childbirth. She is a wonderful mother, who parents with her own style and endless love. She is a great teacher to me, and I am so very thankful for our friendship.
