The first post of the new year, and some resolutions.

Happy New Year!

Since New Year's Eve I have been walking around with the feeling that 2009 is going to be an interesting and fruitful year. I think that the year's troubles will be tempered with much love and excitement for life. I feel ready to take it on.

I always make resolutions, usually a full list of them. I call them resolutions, but see them more as good ideas, ways to try things differently, and things I want to look for and make room for in my life.

My first resolution is to dance more, to listen to the music more. I want to dance more with my friends, dance more often with my family, dance more often with my husband, and dance more often alone.

My second resolution is to keep doing things that are good for me. I want to keep eating healthy foods, keep working out, keep writing, keep making art, and keep reaching out to my community in as many ways as I can.

My third resolution is travel more, to see more of the world, and experience new things, new people, and new places. I want to be less scared to take action make these things happen.

And this brings me to my fourth and last resolution: to believe in myself more, and to know that I am capable of many things.

Yes I think this is going to be a good and fruitful year.
