posting about birds will have to wait, so enjoy this lesson on life in its place.

We are entering the world of robins and chickadees, watching the birds make nests, and helping as we can.  We have quite a few things going on, the least of which is refreshing our memories on the bird songs we hear.

I wanted to do a whole post about the things we are doing but that will just have to wait. We are heading out of town for a little visit to the Ohio River this weekend and I haven't even thought of what to pack. So, instead- I offer you this: a little lesson on how to live a good life by my old friend and poet Maggie May, also know as Flux Capacitor.

Check it out.  Setting Free the Bears
(There is a nakedness involved if that helps motivate you to follow the link, but don't tell her I told you that.)

While you are there, stick around for her poems. Who knows, you might find a little something of yourself in one or a few of them.

And to you Maggie-
You are an inspiration to me and always have been,
since way back in the early days of natural parenting and cloth diapers and wooden rattles.
Our oldest boys are so far from that now, no?

Thanks for all of the words, the pictures, the encouragement, the light,
and even the darkness we have shared these years. I love ya girl.
