a piece so technically flawed . . . but then, being built of words is a technical flaw in its own right.

I have been working on this piece for a while, but am finally throwing in the towel. It is time to move on, but with all things- I have learned so much. It is a relatively large piece for me, 18 in x 24 in.

I still find facial features almost impossible to draw, but I am growing. I am not ready to give up on that yet.

If you click on the image to enlarge it, you will see that this woman's features are drawn from words, and we all know how limiting words can be!

Now that I am calling her done- it is time for me to set my sights on new inspiration.

Perhaps I will find it in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico- where I will visit my good friend Luke for a few days next week.

Wow Shannon, it's gorgeous! The colors are magnificent, and her posture is perfect. I love the designs you've so painstakingly drawn into every inch.
