Simple Pleasures: Better off for all that we let in.

Recipe for a GREAT evening:
  • a little bit of rain and a chill to the air
  • a husband and wife at home with not too much work to do and the kids asleep early
  • some tasty red wine
  • a box of sharpie markers, a sketch book, and a comfortable rug on the floor
  • reruns of the office and the tail end of a great Neil Young documentary on PBS
  • add a lot of laughter :) and voila! a GREAT evening.
Last night was such a great night - a true simple pleasure to be thankful for.

I know I haven't written much of substance lately, but I can say that I am having a great time, most of the time, and moving forward when I am not. I certainly don't mean to say that life is always a party around here, but I do mean to say that I truly am grateful for every single minute of it.

In the words of the Indigo girls,
"I don't know where it all begins
and I don't know where it all will end,
We're better off for all that we let in."

Enjoy these Indigo Girls Perform Songs from their album All that We Let In. (plus a few more)
I have been singing these songs loudly for days now.
