List of things I want to blog about but may not get around to:
- The Kids in Fellowship summer programs we are doing at my UU Fellowship this summer.
- The fact that we are approaching the end of our bglt welcoming congregation workshop series at our fellowship and are that much closer to becoming an official Welcoming Congregation. (plus the upcoming service we are leading on the topic)
- My upcoming intergenerational services on creation myths and the things I am doing at home to prepare myself to do them.
- The artist Lin Evola-Smidt, who makes art out of melted down weapons.
- My new source of monetary gain which is combined with my passion for making art with and for young children. AKA- I got a job for fall! woohoo.
- The fact that my house is a mess. I am getting pretty lazy about housework. Maybe I spend too much time blogging? naaahh.
- The fact that we are still at war and my cousin is saying goodbye again to a daughter who is as old as this war.
- Running a mile in my own shoes again and taking better care of myself in general. I haven't posted about exercise in a very long time, because I haven't been doing it much at all. How can we get back into that exercise groove once we are out of it for so long? And how can I say no to biscuits and gravy, mexican food, and iced mochas, and say yes to those oh so good for you green veggies and fruits?
- My most recent art endeavors and where I want my art to go in the next year or so.
- Our garden journal. We haven't been doing much but I do have a few entries on back log.
- The wonderful performance we saw this weekend and what it meant to me. Brule and AIRO put on an exciting, beautiful, informative, innovative, and heart touching show. I really hope I can carve out some time to tell you a little more about them and the wonderful work they are doing for humanity, and even a little more than that.
So, those are just a FEW of the things I have been wanting to blog about lately, but it being summer, we are moving faster than we can think. Our experiences have been a blessing and I hope I can sit down long enough soon to start processing them, but tomorrow I am off again to visit family. I feel the need to say goodbye to that cousin as he heads to the middle east again to serve our country as best as he knows how.
I may be short on time to write out anything deep and meaningful, but sharing the latest sunflowers in my garden takes but a second. Today, I welcome some new sunflower blooms and hope the rest of them perk back up after being trampled by the rains while we were gone.
Have a beautiful sunflower filled day and blessed be to each of you!
