Yesterday we found this butterfly,
Self-poised upon that yellow flower
And, little Butterfly! Indeed
I know not if you sleep or feed.
How motionless! - not frozen seas
More motionless! and then
What joy awaits you, when the breeze
Hath found you out among the trees,
And calls you forth again!
~William Wordsworth, "To a Butterfly"
And in chasing butterflies, we find among them, damselflies.
Not sure exactly what kind of damselfly we have here,
but I am thinking some sort of common bluet.
And I almost forgot about the Monarch we spotted right away!
(I suppose it could be a painted lady? hard to tell from a distance.)

What a good Mother's Day I had :) Lucky me.
