Happy Pulaski Day!

It is Casimir Pulaski Day in Illinois. Schools are out and children everywhere are rejoicing.

Isaiah, Desi and I went out on the town and had a blast. I love pounding the downtown sidewalks with my boys, even if the toddler has to stop at every stoop and go up and down, up and down, and up and down again saying his own special word that means "stairs" but sounds more like zzzzsshhhsss. It is fun and sweet and warms my soul.

We also stopped in a new store called "Wizard Mart" just to see what it was. We got to have a wonderful conversation about legalizing marijuana and rated X movies. We also discussed the difference between drugs like Marijuana, alcohol, and tobacco and harder drugs like cocaine, crack, and crystal meth. Nice. Just what I had panned out for today- teachable moments and all.

He did however find a set of Tarot cards he wants. They were pretty cool looking, and have the descriptions of each cardprinted out, so a good beginner set. The guy running the store seemed cool enough. The headshop stuff was in the back, so no real worries there.

We had lunch out and watched the cars pass by, saw some friends, and walked to the general store to pick up some goods.

It is March and 54 degrees. Life is good.
