Monday Morning Grog

Since I have had this empty box on my screen for about an hour now, I figure I should fill it up while I have the chance. The big man is off to work, the big brother is off to school, and the little brother is occupied with cheese, paper, crayons, and stickers. Grandma is off for her daily walk and coffee stop.

The house is as quiet as can be aside from the music playing and the birds singing me songs outside the window.

On shuffle this morning: Jesus Alemany, Neko Case , Nina Simone, Frank Sinatra, and Billie Holiday. Feeling kind of nostalgic today I guess.

The downer: I was totally going to post pictures of all of the yard work we did this weekend, including me in my new cowgirl hat. Who knew cowgirl hats could be so fun? The problem: where the fuck did I put my camera?

The upper: The fabulous flower garden we built, which will be even more fabulous come July or so. Even more fabulous is the 70 degree weather flowing in through the windows. We already played outside for awhile this morning, but me and the D-Dawg are in the process of engaging in power struggles over wearing a hat in the sun.

Agenda for the week:
  1. make a major effort towards not procrastinating on various church items that I typically put off until the last minute.
  2. Create some piece of artwork.
  3. Remember that Isaiah has fine arts club BOTH Tuesday and Thirsday and Piano on Friday. This sounds easy, but it really isn't.
  4. Preschool playgroup on Wednesday.
  5. Try and schedule various doctors appointments for early June for all of the kids and me.
  6. Dinner out with friends on Wednesday.
  7. School Band Concert on Thursday.
  8. Meeting in St. Louis on Saturday.
  9. Try not to loose my mind or say mean things to my family.
Oh, and if you are a big fan of the alphabet, we uploaded a few youtube alphabet songs to Desi's Day this morning. Desi is REALLY into letters these days. Anybody have any fun letter things/ideas for us?

I am not exactly sure why I broadcast my schedule on the internet. I am not even sure exactly why I keep this blog at all, other than the fact that it fascinates me that anyone would read it! I daresay I am pretty attached to this whole blogging idea though. I love the glimpses into people's lives, thoughts and ideas. Hello, okay the truth is I am a total ego-maniac and love any forum in which I can just spew my own meaningless (or maybe sometimes meaningful? I hope) nonsense.

Happy Monday!

Off topic: Does anyone know how to upload PDF documents to a website or blog?
