Just for fun, when we met Barack Obama

Election Update on My End:

I successfully maneuvered the polls with a bossy two year old AND my mother in law. I did take a democratic ballot, but damn if I wasn't tempted to take that Green Ballot!

I mean really, how cool is it that the green ballot was available in a primary? Getting the Green Party recognized in Illinois is democracy in action, and contrary to popular notions, Greens really are a viable political party IF THEY CAN KEEP UP THE MOMENTUM OF GROWTH.

At the poll, I was annoyed that a) I was offered a "republican ballot or a democratic ballot" but NOT a green ballot. That IS against the law, and I did tell someone about it. I also called up all my green friends (ok, that would be two people) and offer them rides to the polling places. Just because I didn;t vote green doesn't mean I am not a supporter!

If we could get some greens running for local elections, I would take a green ballot.
