Some Simple Validation for my Mama Skills

Once in awhile my kids make me feel like I am doing something right around here.

I get hugs and thank you's often enough, but sometimes they go that extra little step that makes me smile :)

Monday night I came home to a 12 year old boy sitting on itunes with a 20 dollar bill from his birthday. When he was done, he told me that he had charged 18 dollars worth of videos and songs, but that the extra 2 dollars was for me to buy some music. I laughed, said thanks but thats not neccesary. He wouldn't take his change back and told me I deserved some new music for being such a nice mom.

Sweet kid. Thanks. I'll take that two bucks and buy some new music!

Then yesterday, Desi told me he wanted to give me a sparkley heart sticker, "because you are such a good mama." That sticker looked damn good on my bright red hoodie that I love too.

Do I have sweet kids or what? Crazy, but sweet.

You do have sweet kids! I think it is a testament to your parenting that they are so compassionate.

well, desi did kick me in the knee yesterday because he "wants to hurt people. It's fun"

Is that a testament to my parenting too? lol

hehe sorry Shannon but it was kinda funny.

And you do deserve all the love and music your heart desires. I know you and Adam are raising the kids in a supportive and compasionate home.

I am getting the feeling you were feeling loved when you wrote this ;)
