It is hard to blog in the summer time

I have had such lofty blogging aspirations too.

But they aren't happening. I hope to be linking you soon to a ditty I am hoping to get around to writing for another UU Blogger on the subject of boycotting China (successfully and unsuccessfully) from a families point of view.

I think Boycotting China must be the new black.

I think saying things are the new black is the new black.

But boycotting China is everywhere these days. There was just a story on NPR yesterday about a book that came out about a woman's year long boycott of china in 2005.

I feel so trendy. Except that I don't really boycott China very well, but my husband does. I believe he hasn't bought any china made products yet in 2007. I do okay with it but then I will have a week like this one where I say fuck it and buy cute high heeled shoes and nice picture frames. the guilt. It kills me. not really.

Sorry for the grammar here, geez. I think I should go to bed.

I am good though. Life is good. I feel good. I am having a lot of summer fun. Desi is a cute as ever. He pulled a clacking wooden caterpillar down the street today, over 2 blocks. It was so cute, everyone who saw us was practically moved to giggles.

I ran today, again, but it was slow. I don't know why it was so slow. At first it bothered me, but now it doesn't. I am just preparing myself now to get a good night's sleep so I can do it again tomorrow. I can say with 100% confidence that I always have a better day when I work out in the morning.

I miss my ten year old, but I guess he is having fun. Split custody sucks, but what are you going to do? Just a couple more weeks and he'll be home.

I am geared up for church on Sunday. The three of us on the LGBT Concerns task force are leading in introduction to our Welcoming Congregation Process. I am looking forward to it. We are ready, and it will be good.

We are taking a little overnight trip to Evansville, IN tomorrow. I have never been there. I know very little about it. I know there is a river, a zoo, and a children's museum. I know Madonna hated it when she was there filming A League of Their Own.

We got more rain today, which we needed and made my sunflowers happy.

The End.
